This is one of the two paintings I did on the windows of Charleston, SC.  This is a 30'x22' on 140 LB Arches.  I gessoed the paper and I did not stretch it.  I was able to pick up the paper and control the drips without worrying about being attached to my board.  The watercolor does handle different than what is expected on this surface.  The gesso was diluted so as not to be too stiff or crack.

  1. I'm really loving these windows Hugh.I am into your abilities with the medium too.

  2. Thanks, I appreciate your help and encouragement!
