An image from Magnolia Plantation in Charleston, SC.  This is a famous view but I believe I might give it a try in a painting.

An 8" x 10" watercolor of my wife and daughter which was done around 2007.  My daughter has perfected the art of rolling - her - eyes now.

While in CA, we drove to Monterey and I noticed this grouping off a pier.

I just went through my portfolio looking for older items to include in my About Me page and I found these two mixed media pieces.  They are from 2007, but I have been working on these cut outs for years.  I still have about 20 more or so that I sometimes will "adjust" a little more.

The second window scene from Charleston, SC.  It is also a 30'x22' on 140lb Arches watercolor paper with a gessoed surface.

My other 9"x12" entry; a window scene from Charleston, SC.

One of my two entries in the 9"x12" show at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center.  The reception is December 3, 2010.  An interesting idea, all entries must fit in a 9'x12' envelope and be mailed to the FW Community Arts Center.  Everything is for sale for $100.00.  Check out the site:

This is one of the two paintings I did on the windows of Charleston, SC.  This is a 30'x22' on 140 LB Arches.  I gessoed the paper and I did not stretch it.  I was able to pick up the paper and control the drips without worrying about being attached to my board.  The watercolor does handle different than what is expected on this surface.  The gesso was diluted so as not to be too stiff or crack.

Another image from Laguna Beach

A 10'x14' on Arches 140lb paper.
A wonderful place to visit in California.  Before the wedding in Laguna Beach this past summer, I noticed a lot of wonderful images to paint.  Laguna Beach is still a popular area for artists today. There are several galleries in the area which are worth a visit.

Two others collages from around 2005 plus a color one of the earlier one.

Texas National 2006 - My entry

One of my entries, the other had a nude which I did not want to post.  I showed that piece at an ECU Alumni Show back in 2007(?).

At my undergraduate reception at ECU.

Believe it or not I am happy but not sure if I am going to continue my art quest.    ECU was my first choice but I did apply to other graduate schools.
